San Francisco Area Health Education Scholars Program
San Francisco AHEC Scholars are health professional students who want to supplement their education by partnering with Community Health Centers to improve the health of underserved San Francisco residents. The San Francisco AHEC program enables high-potential students with an interest in social justice to explore primary care provision and the community healthcare model through an interdisciplinary lens.
Application date: Applications for the 24-25 cohort will be reviewed in September.
Start date: Flexible, likely as soon as you are available after successfully completing the application and interview process.
Eligibility: Eligibility extends to students enrolled in the following majors: medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, CNA, physician assistant, social work, psychology, and public/population health programs. A one-year option is available for community health workers, medical assistants, and health education specialists.
