National Health Corps San Francisco 2023-2024 Service Year Application is Open!

Dear SFCCC Network,

The National Health Corps Application for the 2023-2024 Service Term is OPEN!

The NHC San Francisco program is seeking members to serve with the following clinics and organizations (hereafter referred to as Host Sites):

  • Curry Senior Center

  • HealthRIGHT 360

  • San Francisco Department of Public Health – Dental Services and Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health

  • San Francisco Health Network Food Pharmacy – Food As Medicine Collaborative

  • San Francisco Department of Public Health – Value-Based Care Team

  • More Host Site Partners Coming Soon!

Our purpose is to make quality health care more accessible to the most vulnerable populations in our communities, and our AmeriCorps members gain first-hand experience in the public health sector while developing their personal, academic, and professional interests and skills. We aim to:

  1. Decrease barriers for people who are Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and other identities who have been historically under-represented in health leadership (women, LGBQITA+ people, people with disabilities, etc.) to become healthcare and public health leaders in the future.

  2. Decrease health disparities through addressing social determinants of health, including underlying structural oppression, in communities plagued by histories of racial and economic inequities.

  3. Improve organizational efficiency, community engagement, and reach of services addressing social determinants of health.
