Welcome to Johanna Liu, SFCCC's New President & CEO
On May 2, 2022, Dr. Johanna Liu will join SFCCC as the new President & CEO.

The Board of the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium (SFCCC) is pleased to share our good news. We have chosen Dr. Johanna Liu, PharmD, MBA as the next President and CEO of our organization beginning on May 2, 2022.
Dr. Liu has an extensive background in managed care through her work with the Santa Clara Family Health Plan as the Director of Quality and Process Improvement. She possesses many of the qualities and skills in health systems and health care strategies, health plans, Medicare and Medi-Cal that we are confident will enable SFCCC to grow and best serve not only our member heath centers but the overall safety net in San Francisco. In addition, her interest in advocacy and policy has led her to serve on a variety of boards and committees, including the CA Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Global Medi-Cal Drug Use Review Board, CA DHCS CalAIM NCQA Workgroup, the Board of Trustees for the California Pharmacists Association, and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Public Policy Committee.

I'm looking forward to collaborating together to face the challenges of our ever-changing healthcare system today, to provide leadership and foster innovation and to continue to improve community health," says Dr. Liu.
Dr. Liu’s family emigrated to the United States from China and then Taiwan. She was born in southern California where she grew up speaking only Mandarin and learned English in public school. As a young adult she encountered the health care system when her father got seriously ill and eventually passed away. As a result she learned new perspectives about the health care system as both a caregiver and patient advocate. These experiences continue to shape her professional choices and perspectives. Dr. Liu earned her MBA from Haas School of Business, UC, Berkeley and holds a PharmD from the University of the Pacific. The Board of SFCCC is pleased to welcome Dr. Liu to her new role.
San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium is a partnership of 12 nonprofit community health centers and clinics serving 112,600 patients annually at 27 sites. Founded in 1983, SFCCC is a nonprofit that works in partnership with community-based Health Centers/Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHCs) and numerous community and government health partners.
